Tools: General - Backup ALMSys

This is used to back up the ALMSys database.

Layout / How To
Use the Choose Folder Destination for Backup button to select the folder to which the backup is to go. It is recommended that the backup file be placed into the ALMSysSQL\Data folder.

Click the Create Backup File button to export the ALMSys database files and create the resulting almsys.zip file. Progress will be displayed for you.

The resulting file will always be named, "almsys.zip." This ZIP file is password protected and encrypted. Only ALMSys Support and the ALMSys data files restore program know this password.

It is ALWAYS recommended to upload the backup to ALMSys Support for safe-keeping. Click the Upload to ALMSys Support button to perform this task.

ALMSys Accounting Backup
If you are using ALMSys Accounting, then you should backup the accounting system on a regular basis.

This will create an "almsysaa.zip" file in the same folder as specified by the Choose Folder Destination for Backup button.

Click the Create Backup File button to export the ALMSys Accounting database files and create the resulting almsysaa.zip file. Progress will be displayed for you.

The resulting file will always be named, "almsysaa.zip." This ZIP file is password protected and encrypted. Only ALMSys Support knows this password.

It is ALWAYS recommended to upload the backup to ALMSys Support for safe-keeping. Click the Upload to ALMSys Support button to perform this task.
