Creating ALMSys Data Files

This topic covers the creation of the ALMSys data files. Before proceeding, the ALMSys database must have already been established.

Step 1: Create Empty Files
  • Run program "ALMSysDatasetBuild.exe" that is located in your ALMSysSQL\Install\Create folder.
  • Press the Connect to ALMSys button. The program will scroll through each table and determine whether or not it already has been created. A check mark will appear beside tables that already exist.
  • If no tables exist, or if you wish to clear all tables out and recreate empty tables, then press the Create All Tables button. The program will scroll through the list and create all of the data tables. If a table has already been created, then you will be prompted if it is O.K. to delete it.
  • If you need to create specific tables, then simply highlight the table and press the Create Single Table button.
  • Close the program.

    Step 2: Load the Files
  • Run program "ALMSysLoadFiles.exe" that is located in your ALMSysSQL\Install\Create folder.
  • Press the Connect to ALMSys button. The program will scroll through each table and determine whether or not it already has been created. A check mark will appear beside tables that already exist. If a table does not exist, you must exit this program and go to Step 1.
  • Press the Load All Tables button to automatically load the ALMSys tables. The program will scroll through the list and load all of the data tables. If a table has already been loaded, then you will be prompted if it is O.K. to delete the records in the table.
  • If you need to load specific tables, then simply highlight the table and press the Load Single Table button.
  • Tables that have been loaded in this session will be grayed out upon successful loading.
  • Close the program.
