Report: Lease Termination Settlement
Purpose
To generate a summary of terminated leases that have a balance owed on the Vehicle Termination Worksheet screen. It also will generate a "Statement of Terminated Lease Account" for each account reported.
How to Run
This is run from Main Menu - 
- Reports. The date range is not used. All terminated leases that have an amount owed on the Vehicle Termination Worksheet screen will be included. Accounts will not be included if 1) the account is flagged as bankrupt (Names and Addresses screen), or 2) the account does not have "Yes" set for "Print statement when billing is run?", or 3) the account has the "Suspend Billing?" marked as "Yes" (General Billing screen) .
This report will create mail merge data for "Statement of Terminated Lease Account" letters. The resulting letters are generated into the e-mail queue. The template for the letters is "LeaseTermSettlementStatement.rtf" and may be edited via the Communications screen. Please note that there are special "{}" fields in this document. If you need assistance, please contact Support.
(Note: Depending on the number of terminated accounts, you may have more than one e-mail queue entry created. This is due to a limitation of the size allowed for each e-mail queue entry.)
After creating the statements, you will be given the option to generate envelopes for the entries. If you choose this option, then one e-mail queue entry will be created for all envelopes. If you are going to print the envelopes from a specific printer tray, then it is recommended to 1) double click on the envelopes entry to open the preview window, 2) select File - Print, 3) select Properties, 4) select the paper tray source and press OK, and 5) press OK to print the envelopes.
How Sorted
The Lease Termination Settlement report is sorted by: Location number, account number, deal number. (Underlined sort fields cannot be overridden.)
The Statement of Terminated Lease Account is sorted by: Account number, deal number. This sort cannot be changed.
